For sure there are not many Bogleheads like me, but I’ll be the beneficiary of an actual Boglehead “fortune”, that has been earned by my parents over many decades of disciplined index fund investing and living well below means. (Each child will receive in the millions). My 80something dad has been a user of this site for many years and we’ve discussed in depth topics found here many times.
I’ve absorbed most of what has been taught to me by him since I was very young so with that and some hard work and good luck sprinkled on top my wife and I have also amassed a Boglehead “fortune” of our own and it’s our hope that our kids (and grandkids someday) do the same. Those kids stand to inherit quite a bit more than I will, in all likelihood.
I think it’s damn good idea to build generational wealth and I wouldn’t let anyone try to convince me otherwise.
