The no surprises act means you only need to make sure to go to an in network facility for non emergency care (all emergency care is covered in network). You no longer have to worry about an out of network providers at an in network facility unless you sign something very specific (which of course one should not do).So you're betting that your $1M surgery happens in an in-network hospital by 100% in-network doctors which is unlikely if you've crossed state lines.
