When I was in college, the premed advisor was absolutely clueless. No help whatsoever.1/.There are premed clubs with faculty advisors. I am sure they have some idea about how many students in the club went to medical school. Yes it will be imperfect but will still be better than no information. While there may be some exceptions, pre-med isn’t a major. I also doubt most colleges keep a tally of who applies to medical school, so the denominator (and thus percentage) isn’t known.backward induction.
Which university has the most percentage of premed majors admitted to medical school?
There’s also the risk of conflating cause and effect. Let’s imagine that College X is highly selective so its students are academic overachievers who are more likely to get into med school. It’s the students who gave College X a high med school acceptance rate, rather than College X giving its students a higher chance of getting into med school.
2/ OP is already accepted to the schools and two way matching controls for quality, so reverse causality is a non issue.
