And haha Dr. William Bernstein seems to believe in MarketTimia for bonds. He said we should have been reluctant to invest in TIPS when the yield was negative. I actually thought to myself, "well I'll still stay the course because the bond market is efficient and the Fed's future actions are built into the price". I am 100% in favor of indexing and staying the course with stocks. I don't know about bonds. The mentions of the Fed posted in this thread aren't what I meant.
Yields aren’t dictated by the fed on TIPs or other bonds but by market trades. Influenced by? Yes, but not anything actionable that you can do.
