Something just doesn't seem quite right here, regarding the formulas being used and the apparent inflexibility of some advisors. I just retooled my financial plan with VPA with the goal of moving more assets away from International stocks and bonds and into US investments. The revised plan, which my advisor agreed with, is an 85/15 split for stocks -- 85% US, 15% International, and a 90/10 split for bonds -- 90% to US.
