Take the cheaper, community college elective courses in the summer and transfer the credits to the 4-year college. It also lightens the workload during the fall and spring semesters for the more intense classes essential for the major. That is what I did. Took English, History, Spanish courses at a community college and so that I can focus on Engineering during the fall and spring.
