Question is in the subject line.

How do I get over a loss of a significant amount of money (due to bad financial / business decision)? I've tried to tell myself it's only money, I can earn it back, etc etc etc, but it still stings. This is a large amount and I'm really struggling with this. Help!
It would be good to consider getting some professional counseling. Some companies have an employee assistance program(EAP) which you may be able to get some free counseling and referrals from, in some situations counseling may also be covered under your healthcare plan.

If the loss was related to something specific like a death, divorce, disability, addiction, etc there may be specific support groups for those. If you have a large amount of debt because of this then talking to a bankruptcy lawyer could be appropriate.

Your doctors office or large healthcare groups may be able to help refer you to social services in your area.

If you are even loosely affiliated with a religion then the leaders of that may know or religious or secular resources which are available in your community.

If it seems so overwhelming that you are thinking of harming yourself or having what feels like a breakdown then in the US the phone number 988 is the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
I agree. This is great advice.
