Personal Investments • Withdrawal Strategy - Early Retirement

Hello Community -

My DW and I are 35/36 yo. We are potentially on track for early retirement at 50 yo if all works out. Currently, all are in VTI across 3 "tax buckets" accounts. Few questions:

3) 4% rule is a way to go, or are there more complex ways to withdraw and stay "safe" to not run out of $ saved?

References to relevant topic threads will be helpful as well.

You should be reading the Early Retirement Now blog. He'll make sure you've read so much on the subject, you'll be bored when you finally retire. ;)

That said, he has a useful chart that gives a statistical idea of asset allocation and safe withdrawal rates over periods longer than 30 years. You can find it at the bottom of the first installment:
