Check to see if your insurance covers these repairs.I have parked my 2022 SUV in the same uncovered outdoor parking spot since I purchased it in 2021. Never had issues and have had clean inspections when getting routine maintenance done at the dealer, with the most routine maintenance appointment occurring less than 1 week ago.
Over the weekend the car flashed an alert signaling shifting gear failure requiring immediate service. This stopped us from being able to drive the car and had to tow it on a flatbed back to the dealership.
The dealer found a “massive rodent infestation” despite servicing the car just 4 days prior when nothing was noted on the full point inspection.
This has been causing my alarm bells to be going off. What are the chances of this occurring in that 4 day period? Anything I should be on the lookout for?
- cats will deter mice
- live traps will catch mice alive
- mice/rat bait boxes will poison them
- essential oils like mint dispersed where they enter/stay will deter them
- glue type traps can be used in/near vehicles and machinery
- 'snap' type traps are also effective but need to be cleared out and reset often
Pick which ones are best applicable to your situation and goals.
