Personal Consumer Issues • how much did it cost you to install a level 2 charger at home?

HCOL area, did it myself, 3/4" conduit, 50 Amp outlet and breaker. Ran about 40' of conduit to common wall with attached garage. Probably $250-$350 for materials at Home Depot. #8 copper wire is expensive, naturally. Have left over wire. I normally charge at 24 Amps with a Grizzl-E EVSE ($400). Full charge to Chevy Bolt EV overnight. 259 miles max nominal.
#8 wire on a 50a breaker? Last I checked you need a #6 wire for that
