Depending how far you want to take this, maybe look at retrofitting a sturdy keyboard/mouse drawer to get those at more optimal lower height? Emphasis on sturdy not cheap and flimsy. If maintaining the aesthetics of the room is important that might be one option to help out.
What I notice in our office is that most people leave their adjustable desk surface in one position that is different than a standard desk height even if they have a motorized height adjustment. Some people stand, some people sit with the surface a little higher than standard, some people sit with the surface a little lower than standard. Only a few people seem to actually move the desk up and down throughout the day.
