Forum Issues and Administration • Why not add a "like" button to Boglehead posts?

Like buttons can be used to form coalitions and trade favors.

I would like anyone who asks the site for spoiler tags.

There likely would be a Give-Us-Emojis! coalition as well.

Everyone scratches each other's backs. All very parliamentary.
What is your evidence for this?

For the most part I just see the number of likes something I put on Facebook gets and don't bother to click further to see who are the people liking.

I also don't look at who else has liked where I leave a positive comment.

Therefore, as far as I can see what you describe above is not happening on Facebook.

Though it is true, as mentioned earlier, that people can game the system.
