The pension is enough to cover our main expenses and about 2/3 of our spending. I can draw on my 401K with rule of 55. We are fortunate to have access to insurance from my prior employer. When I go on Medicare, we will have to make arrangements for my husband's insurance for 4 more years, probably a combination of COBRA and ACA. Current plan is to start SS one of us at 62 and one at 70.That's awesome. Does the pension cover most of your expenses? When will you take SS? Are you using the Affordable Care Act for health insurance? We retired in 2021 at 53 and 57 with much less than a million and a pension. We are very conscious of our spending but could not be happier with our decision to retire. We've had some unexpected health issues, to include heart by-pass, and we've traveled a good bit, with two cruises, lots of camping trips, and we're hopefully going to Greece next year. We're closer to a million than we were in '21.
