Can't stress this enough. You need to be fine with staying in the fund you TLH into. I was in VTSAX back in March of 2020 and I TLH'd into VFIAX (S&P500) and VEXAX (extended market). I was lucky enough to do it almost on the market low of the pandemic, and since everything roared back within 30 days I've been stuck in these funds since...and probably will be forever.Have two designated holdings for each asset class in your taxable account, either of which you'd be fine with long term. And swap as needed.
Ive been dragging along the losses ever since (and have added more). Its handy having losses to carry over as sometimes you NEED to make an investment change that has a gain whether U want to or not, and being able to apply the losses towards it adds flexibility.
