It's really awful how seniors are being so aggressively targeted. We're all susceptible but people of your dad's age are particularly vulnerable.

If you can, first put a credit freeze on everything. The last thing you need is having his identity stolen. He's not going to be the one cleaning up that mess--it's going to be you or someone else.

Then, you can have alerts placed on credit card accounts so that you're notified when charges are made above a certain amount. In addition, you can log on to his credit card accounts periodically. Take away the debit cards or at least discontinue the debit feature if he wants the ATM feature.

You can try a Chromebook. Adding something like Bitdefender is reasonable. As long as he has a computer, there's going to be a risk so the only thing you can do is try and limit the damage. His phone is another risk so you might consider adding an app that limits spam calls.
