Waaay back in college, had a small plant on my desk.
For the long winter break, got an idea to keep it watered: place the plant into a larger bowl with a couple inches of water in it, that would percolate into the plant's pot.
Returned to a dead/overwatered plant.
Learned many things in college LOL.
