Bogle and Collins provide excellent advice and I'd say that their work is the ABC of passive investing, but in terms of portfolio construction, they are very US-centric. Many Americans have a strong home bias and will go above and beyond to convince you that the US stock market is exceptional. Maybe for them it is all they need to invest in, but for us diversifying with some non-US stocks is a good way to improve the performance of a portfolio in terms of risk.
